83' T-type grille

Where can I get a grille for my 83' T-type?

Discontinued from gm but is it available from somewhere else?

Mike at SETurbo may still have his grill, he converted to the 87 nose. Also Bweavy or Mike McCoy may have one.

why dont u just go to a local junk and pick on off a regal and paint it black? arnt they the same thing?

The chrome plating wouldnt be good on one at a junk yard I dont think. I have a spare one but the chrome plating is almost gone anyone know if they can be fixed???

hmm, my chrome is still goodon my grill. So I would say that youhave a chance at finding one in a junkyard. Your local chrome shop should be able to give you a cost at fixing

According to the parts books the T-Type was a paint to match one anyway. I also have 2 used ones and if I can make it home before it gets dark I'll check to see if the chrome is good. These were from a 83 T but it appears to have been replaced.

Adding my 2 cents

Hi,

I repainted my 83 Grille, was flaking chrome. Used scotch-brite, and some inexpensive primer/satin black spray paint. I was satisified with the results. It doesn't look cheap and the color matches my 83 T-type's grille which is an original
