My name is Josh and I have a question about a 83 t-type. I was wonding how hard it would be to swap in a V-8. I know where a 83 regal is but it has a bad engine. Everything is there. The body and paint is good. As well as the interior and wheels and tires. The guy that has it said the trans was rebuilt not too long before the engine went. I would like someone else's opinion. The price is $1,000. The V-8 I have is Chevy 350 will it bolt to the 200-r4? What else will I have to change? Does anyone need a whole 3.8 turbo motor? Any help will be appriciated. Thanks Josh

DON'T DO IT...I mean the SBC swap....you can get a stock 3.8 or a 4.1 bottom end and it will handle the stock boost. I'm a old chevy nut, so it's not that hate chevy's.

You will enjoy the turbo engine SO MUCH MORE.

Jim

I agree 1000%.

Get a Monte SS, or any other g-body (even another Regal) for the 350 SBC.

Buy the 83 T Type and get 3.8 2-barrel short block (or 4.1) and install it.

Don't waste a great car by giving it a labotomy. :(

ROTFLMAO Darn Rich that's a good one.

I forgot how cold it is up here....

I agree also. Don't do it please. Besides the 200-4r won't bolt up to the small block.

That was a good one rich.
