84 & 85 GN wheels are different than TType wheels

I'm not sure what the difference is - possibly backspacing. The TType wheels have less clearance from the mounting flange to the part where the inside of the rim has the casting numbers on it. I need spacers to clear my 12" brakes on the TType wheels & don't need spacers on 85 GN wheels.

Anyone??

The only difference in the wheels is the 84-85 GN's were painted black between the spokes. The BS was the same.

I finally installed the 12" Baer brakes yesterday & had the TType & '85 GN wheels side by side. The '85 GN wheels have 3 3/4" backspace (& black paint) - the TType wheels have 3 5/8" backspace.
