Anyone know? Just a plain 3.8 2 barrel. Also what was the HP? I can't find any specs, must be to old. Will be used as a DD if I get it.

Horsepower is 110, not sure on fuel mileage exactly but mine seems pretty good.

When I had my 84 Regal with the n/a 3.8 liter, the window sticker (I had it too) said 21 mpg. It did not specify if that was city or highway, but I would be willing to bet it was highway.

My car had a TH200 and a 2.41 rear end gear, 2 bbl carb.

Power wise the n/a 3.8 2bbl was rated at a tire smoking 110 hp at 3800 rpm and a frame twisting 190 ft lbs of torque at 1600 rpm.

I could squeeze 17 mpg 2/3rd city driving. That was after a tune up and cleaning carb. It had a cheapo muffler on it that made the fan louder than the exhaust:rolleyes: . No codes or anything. No balls for that matter either. My car only had pwr windows and a/c. Slowest thing I've ever driven in my life. I sold it shortly after I bought it.

Fuel Economy

Thats a misprint on the 27MPG. I used to own a few 3.8/4.1 Regals. The only trans available in 1984 on the 4.1 was the 200-4R. It was jetted for part throttle economy and you could squeeze low 20's if you stayed in the sweet spot was was 60-65MPH. Never saw 20's on any of the 3.8 2V cars.

If you are getting it super cheap then I'd say ok. Don't expect much for power and gas mileage though. Better off going with a v8 car:rolleyes: or putting a turbo setup on it:cool:
