I recently went to the junkyard, and got an ECM from an 88 delta...the numbers match up, I think...1227148...right?

The question's I have are:

The number on the calpak reads: 16036495...

1. I was reading up on this, and saw that the correct #'s are xxxxx503 or xxxxx504? Is this correct? Haven't checked, but hopefully my GN has one...

2. Do I need to get a chip from an 86-87 GN in order to make this work, or can I just install what I have (w/ the correct calpak of course).

3. Or, can I just get a performance chip burned for my combo, and use that?

4. If I get a chip burned...who am I getting to do it?

Thanks

2. Yes, it needs to be a later model chip

3. That would be my reccomendation.

4. Lots of people start out with trasher chips because they are cheap, people all have thier favorite burner.
