Are there any performance exhaust systems out there that bolt up even close to the factory?

I've heard the Hooker or ATR's work well. Dont have either, I had a shop do a custom job coz the previous owner royally screwed it up by welding everything together and using crappy pipes. Oh well, Hooker or ATR I'd say

i would say atr, thay make good exhaust products for our cars.every thing is made and dyno tested for a turbo buick.thay know what thay are doing.;)

I have a ATR and love it. Great sound, but no annoying interior noise.
Just like to note, I don't have the dual setup. It's the Pitbull single 3" and a test-pipe.

I have the Hooker exhaust on mine. It came with the car when I bought it. I think both the ATR and Hooker use the '86 and '87 exhaust flange. I think ATR sells a flange by itself to weld on your cat so the better '86-'87 exhaust will bolt up. I really don't like the sound of the Hooker mufflers though. I like a deeper sound than what they give. My '84 Regal with a N/A 231 has a deeper sound with the same pipes as the Hooker system, but with Dynomax (made by Walker) mufflers. If it were up to me, I wouldn't have mufflers.
