84 GN resto ? Heat shield?

Is there a ignition wire heat shield located by the uppipe and possibly mounted on the passenger side valve cover?Thanks in advance.

I am almost sure I remember one on mine when I put the new headers on. I didn't put it back on for some reason. I did buy some some heat socks to put over my plug wires since they are so close and I melted a couple.

I am pretty sure that there is a Heat Sheild that connects using the upper header bolt for the #2 cly.

I took mine off, because it made it difficult to change plugs and wires. That side is hard to work on anything that you can take away from over there will only make it easier to work on.

IMO the sheild is not needed, and it is not very visible to someone unless they know what they are looking for.
