84 GN value?

Hey guys, My father has been in the market for a TR and I think he found one that will be fine for him. Its a very clean garage kept 110K mile bone stock 2 owner 84 GN. I think the price is between 5 & 6K. Is it worth it?

Many may argue this point, but it is really only worth as much as you are willing to pay for it. To me, it is a very good price considering what I paid for mine. Blue book in EXCELLENT shape is around $16K
Be sure to search the "buying guide" on GNTTYPE. I realized it was there after my purchase.

I agree with Jerryl- I paid 7500 for a bone stock 85 GN with a perfect body and interior. Go for it . Brad

If it's clean interior, no rust on exterior and looks pretty good, you could be alright. If you want to go fast (a little quicker and cheaper), you might consider going with an 86 or 87 but it's usually a longer wait to find one that's reasonable. I'm selling my 84 for $4500, but it's probalby not as clean.

Is it Worth It?

You might want to check out e-bay, just to get an idea of what's out there and the condition they're in. Thay way you have a good gauge for comparison.

I ended up paying $4.700 and two weeks latter the blue book value doubled!
I beleave at the time $5.200 was top price. I have been watching the value bounce up and down like the stock market! last I saw. Mine was around $16.500....so I'd grab it up if I saw it....so? where you say this car was?....lol
