In case anyone is interested, there's an 85 GN at Lonestar Motors. It's lowered and has billet wheels but is pretty rusty. There's a tow mount on the back so I wouldn't be suprised if someone used it to put their boat in the water. Asking price is $3900! I'm pretty sure this place sells repos and charity donations so the price should be negotiable.

Greg,

You are right on the donated vehicle thing. you could get it for 1/2 or less than 1/2 of the asking price. Doesn't sound like it is even worth that, though. I have done some business with them in the past and I will check with them, maybe we can do a group purchase?

Yep
Looked at the car too...some nice parts
Hood still shines so do the fenders and the black bumpers...the rims would shine up to with some elbow grease
Sounds like a buy for chris (turtle)huh!!!
Since I know he luuuuuvvvvveeeeesssss Hot-air.....hahhaha
Has dual exhaust...but rusty...
It definetly needs a little TLC....
Thanks again rob..

LOL, who said I love Hot-Airs? :p If I could...I would more than Likely buy it, but I'd rather buy Jackson's 84. Crap! I still have to finish up my 85 before I can start thinking about buying another car. Next car will definetly a 86/87 TR. So close but, so far.

Another 85 T-type

There's another 85 for sale in the buy and sell. "Runs excellent, just painted, no rust, clean inside/outside. $4,500 obo 225-3786"

Koa, no problem, I hope he buys my motor too.

I looked at the car and actually, the drivers door and the trunk are bad, but the rest of the car isn't too bad, if the price will come wwwaaaaayyyy down, I need to check the car our when they are open...It is not a high value car, since all of those are kept in the fenceline....

Yeah I agree!
I think if you go buy and wave the cash right in their face they usually sell.
Good luck on the motor rob!

Incidentally, this is the same place where I bought a rusty, N/A Regal just for the front clip(front clip was nice...), paid $200 for it, and it ran great.

As for this GN, Maybe I can get it for $500? (yeah, right...)

Lets see, it needs Bumper fillers, Drivers door, Radio...Trunklid...
hehehe;)

Just to tell you guys. I briefly went see the GN today just before the place closed to see what condition everything was in. The guys were in a rush to close, so I did not get to see much of anything except the interior - which was in realtively good condition. Did not get to see the engine compartment because the hood would not open. Because the owners were in a rush to leave, they told me come back Monday and that they was thinking of selling the car for about $350 and something about an auction but, they were in a rush they really did not get to telling anything else.

Will probably go back Monday to get more info.

Checked it out

The car has been sitting for 5 years, (plates reflect that) actually starts and runs. smells like 5 year old gas, too.
Interior is near perfect, except for headliner, and bald spot on carpet by the e-brake. it had an aftermarket stereo, holes in the door panels for the speakers, it still has the co-axial cables. trunk lock is punched (missing)

and they want 3500 for it...
