85-T-type dash harness help!

I was wondering if an 87 dash harness fits on an 85 dash, I recently acquired an 85 t-type from a friend who gave up on the project. I was unable to turn down the offer so here I am with a ton of questions and no answers. First off I just purchased the factory GM manuals for the car but they have not yet arrived.

My friend was replacing the harness because the other harness was spliced/cut beyond recognition so he decided to purchase 87 dash harnesses and was told it would fit, he proceeded to cut away at the old harness and now I am unable to compare it to the "new 87 dash harness". If anyone out there has tried this before or has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

84-87 Dash harnesses should be the same as the dashes & clusters interchange.
Only thing you may run into is if the 84-6 had Electronic climate control, Digital dash or analog dash. Twilight sentinel or factory alarm. Those are a few items that could cause some problems.

So if If the harness would have the connectors for electronic climate control all I would have to do I get an electronic climate control right?

I have an analog dash would I be able to keep that if the harness was from a digital dash?
