The turbo on my 85 t-type is so close to the hood. When driving the turbo heats up and starts making the paint crack and peel. Is there a turbo shield for this or is there something I can do.

Kenny

you should have a insulating pad under the hood with extra padding over the turbo.... do you hve it?

No, there nothing there. The insulated pad is on the hood but where the turbo is it looks like someone either cut or tore it way. Do anyone have a pic of what it should look like.

Kenny

OH YEAH, I DON'T HAVE THAT PIECE ON MY CAR. ANYONE HAVE A EXTRA AT A LOW COST.

KENNY

I was talking about both. When I purchased mine, I had no idea of the vendors out there that supply this item. Although I have not priced any of their's either. I'm sure the gm price can be improved.

those are stll avaliable? I was told they were discontinued. if two of you said that they are still around than I must of heard wrong. VERY cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ill go get me a new perfect one, minus hole like his.

try to use the dynamat version of underhood liners. they are fairly cheap and work great for underhood temps. the only downfall is the noise is also deadened. they are really designed for stereo systems. hope this helps

THERE IS ONE ON EBAY RIGHT NOW

THere is still 6 days left on it. It is the factory one and it looks pretty good. Go to ebay motors> parts and accesories> parts car and truck> then search for buick grand national.
