has anyone heard of this beast that comes with nitto drag radials from the factory?

Yup,street guys better get on point this one is going to hook a lot better than most of the factory stuff and it's lighter.

Rumored to be single seat (doubtful) and AWD from the Challenger GT. Local dealer is already trying to get people to put a deposit down if they come in to look at a Challenger.

kirban 2 cents

I been writing about the Demon every week for the last 3 or 4 weeks as I read info I put it in my weekly Inner Circle email to my customers that subscribe. ....gonna be hotter than the current Hellcat, lst car equipped with drag radials, only has a drives seat. Biggest hood scoop ever on a production car. They give a few hints every week not heard of the HP but you could be in the ball park at 850.

Not sure on the single seat feature which eliminates passengers...also with various state laws not sure about tires being street legal for inspections.

Seems more in line with the 50 lst year drag pak challengers they made I was at Don Garlits about two weeks after he took delivery on the first drag pak challenger. I bought the entire suspension and tires and wheels off that car had him sign them.

Hard to fathom a production car that potent made by the same company that cranks out Fiats.....

Sad GM Has only the camaro to work with, when it comes to some retro hotrod. A Buick would have made a cool statement

NO AWD for the Demon. In tests, the AWD system couldn't even hold up with the base Hemi in R/T trim. LOTS of rumors on the Demon, but we do know it's a factory 10 second car that can run those numbers "right of the lot"......

Thought it was odd too, but dealer is telling customers it will be awd. Hellcat was supposed to run 10's with drag radials. I can see a lot of them getting wrecked like hellcat's did by inexperienced rich idiots. Should definitely have to take some kind of performance driving classes before being allowed to take delivery.

If that is the case, then how are the SRT Jeeps and soone to be released SRT Durangos holding up?

Would be interesting to see how they would get drag radials approved for sale - I know they are dot approved but that does not mean the government to allow a factory to install them . And about dealers taking orders , they are a private business not tied to the manufactures directly. They sometimes get told details about future product but usually only what has already been announced to the public.

I want one! That or the Jeep. I have a 300 Srt8 but my wife wants all wheel drive. Just they are a little rich$$ for my wallet.

The SRT8 AWD Jeeps have been around for awhile. I'll have to search around and hear about how well they hold up. I haven't heard anything bad though.

I find it funny that the base r/t still isn't available in awd. The Chrysler 300c and charger are both available with the same 5.7 hemi and awd and they're the same chassis only heavier. And to top it all off, they're now building a v6 challenger awd so it's not like they don't want to tool the few parts that would be different. The likelihood of them making awd behind a 6.4 is fairly slim and the odds of it in a hellcat or demon are near astronomical.

Drag radials are a lawsuit waiting to happen. Surprising, coming from the company that won't even let us reprogram the tire psi threshold on a 2500 to anything under 80 psi because their lawyers told them it's a liability at their rated tow capacity. We bitched all the way up the chain of command about it, only to find the engineers driving their own 2500s with the tire light on because they don't want to run 80 psi either. But they can sell a car that's basically a death trap to almost anyone who could actually afford it. BRILLIANT!!!

I've only seen the first teaser video where it tears into what appears to be a can of race fuel. I'm betting that's a hint that it'll have a race fuel mode, with a button or switch to toggle when using race fuel. Rumored to be a wide body, so it can fit more rubber under the rear. Apparently, vin diesel inadvertently leaked it on youtube in an interview he's giving about fast 8. In it there are 2 Demons displayed with badging and styling like no other.

'inadvertently leaked'? you mean a clever marketing opportunity by Dodge - you will never have a pre-production car revealed on you tube without it being a marketing ploy by the Manufacturer. pre-production cars don't even leave the high security build site without being fully camo'd - and above all if you see a uncamo'd prototype build you world probably laugh , they are not pretty. those were cars were gussied up for there 'accidental' reveal.
