85GN vs. Mustang

This might need to be in a diffrent section but I figured I would ask here first. I have a buddy that has a 2001-02 Mustang that only has a K&N air filter on the car who says he can beat me in a race. What do you guys think? I ounce beat a 97-98 Mustang from a 10mph roll with 3 other people in my car and only 7-8 psi of boost. I'm now pushing 15 psi of boost and plan on getting another pair of rims with slicks and air bags for spring.

Dump in some 110 octane and crank it to 20 pds of boost. You'll take him no prob.

I might not be much help but make sure your car is tuned to the max with some racegas. When I first got my car and had a K&N and boost at 17psi I would have a slow but steady pull from the 5.0s of the day. From a stop it was worse. The newer ones run ~100mph in the 1/4 so you can't mess up the start and expect to reel him in. Tune it and get a good launch and you should take him. They don't launch worth a crap anyway. There's a pretty big difference in the 98 vs 01 Mustangs.
