I have had my 84 for years and it has always had a late coil pack. It has always been my understanding that it was simply plugged into the stock wiring with the elaborate adapter visible where it plugs in. The bracket is cobbled in some manner (one bolt is missing and not used IIRC) and I had thought that was the extent of the retrofit. It has been dead reliable for 10 years or however long i have owned it. Will it work this way or would other items have been changed to make it work ? Reading here I stumbled across instructions for the conversion that are not quite as simple as what I thought had been done and started to wonder what else may be changed. Nothing has to the best of my knowledge but if it wont work that way I'm obviously wrong. Thanks.
