86/87 MAF in 84 T-Type

I have a 1984 T-Type and still have the 84 ECM in it. I think my MAF is going bad. Can I use a 86/87 MAF instead of a 84 MAF? If so, does it plug in with no modifications or do I have to modify the wiring, etc?

you have to use a 84 maf with the 84 ecm. and 87 maf with the 87 ecm.
