If I remove my old discoloured and burnt 85 harness...could I just throw in an 86-87 one ? Then I wouldnt have to worry about the messed up solder job I did....car still is a no start. Thing I might have really screwed up the whole mess. I may put an 87 ECM in too...then no worries right ? Does everthing just plug in the same ? Like even the wastegate sol. and egr / vac switch ?

or do I stick with another 85 harness and just get the plug and play.....

anyone know where I can get either harness in great shape....not a new one tho...too much cash.

i'm kinda doubting that an 87 harness will go right in.can't say for sure tho.

casper's has brand new ones for $625:eek:

you might try mike@m&m motorsports.

later,sean

Unless you converted to a 86/7 setup stay with the 84/5 wiring harness. Call Caspers Electronics, he makes NEW harnesses, but they will set you back a pretty penny.

The harnesses are completely different, they route around the engine different.

Still no luck huh?

Not only is the routing different but the injector plug, coil pack/ module plug, and cam sensor plugs are different.
