i just located an 87 442 with a complete gn drivetrain.bottom end of engine blown, but car has fresh siler paint,no rot or rust and immaculate interior.guy wants 2gs.what do you guys think? i posted here as i dont use the other forums at any frequency.any thoughts?was going to do a shortblock and sell it.t tops too.

the car's probably worth more than the asking price without an engine in it..
the GN drivetrain is essentially free..

thats a damn good deal :) '87 442's were the only year with the silver trim on the dash, rather than the fake wood grain. My favorite year for the Hurst or 442 interior. Looked really clean, also should have a 120 mph speedometer, and an 8.5" rear with 3.73's. I like the Euro front end as well....

iv guess ill pick it up,do the short block install one of our 2004r stage 1s and put it up for sale for 6 gs. :)

Chris- i have a freshly rebuilt stock 87 longblock (only 800 miles on it) for you-$1750 delivered.

picking it up monday :D im in the shop gathering the parts to put the short block together.got a full rotater plus .030 and a block ready to go.ill assemble it next week and the car already has a new home.
