No rust ever, off my original owner car. Wife dinged the car up 10 years ago but the hood seemed okay so we re-used it.
Had the car painted recently. Body man primered and sanded the hood before he noticed a slight raised bump on the driver's side. I had access to a perfect free one so i swapped it out. Slight bump is a result of the crumple zone, I suppose -- Hood is ever so slightly bent. never really noticed it in the ten years it was on.
Good hood for a driver. Free, just pick it up.
