Alright well ive only had this GN for a few months tuned all up and ready to go, its stock and unmolested,(14,600km) Now I know its not really the time to be getting a mod bug but Ive got one, were should I start? I want to do a turbo uprgrade, exhaust, and cold air, any have and good sources and what mods I should do first, I have the flowmaster kit sitting in my basement already. So If i were to upgrade the turbo what else should I do? thanks everyone

Without going to alky or running race gas, I do not feel an upgraded turbo will make that much gain.
An upgraded exhaust with a test pipe is a good mod as well as a Large neck install on the innercooler.

Most people will say the flowmaster are not a good choice for a turbo car.

Upgrade the fuel system, get a scantool, and get the injectors cleaned.

Or you could just trade me the stock car for my Modded one.

Alirght well I just got the flowmaster kit but its returnable, whats everyone running for exhaust I want it stock appearing.

So If i were to get a TA49 turbo for an upgrade I wouldnt get much of a difference in performamance> forgive the dumb questions im not famaliar with these cars still doing lots of reading

I was in the same boat as you a few months ago.. With the help of people on here I got the walbro fuel pump and hotwire kit, adjustable fuel pressure regular, guage on fuel rail, Big mouth kit and MAF pipe, boost gauge, audible knock sensor, razors alky, a TT chip and a scanmaster to tune it all. The car feels 1000 times better than it did before. I plan on doing the exhaust next. But for now I am more than satisfied with the improvements. Again, its 10000 times better. Good Luck!

How fast do you want to go (ET/mph)? Without knowing your goal, it is kind of hard to recommend a combo.

The best deal is the hooker exhaust from Summit.
The thing about bigger turbos is they start to really perform past 22psi.
Now if you are going to run alky or race gas you can take advantage of the higher boost.
Without alky / race gas you are limited to 15-17psi.
Not much difference in a 49 and stocker at 15-17psi.
Also when you upgrade your turbo, you need to upgrade your injectors.

Please keep all your stock parts to put it back to stock.

dont put flowmaster system on car if you are put dynomax mufflers on. they say the flowmaster design interrupts flow of turbo like putting a piece of paper behind a wind driven fan. resulting in poor spool up. dont upgrade turbo go with bigger injectors 60's that way if you do upgrade you can go big if needed. get a walbro fuel pump and hotwire kit from www.fullthrottle.com because the factory one is a poor one especially when pushed. then invest in an alky kit from razor. and then have fun

thanks everyone

Im not to sure on how fast i want to go I think just having one of these cars is fast enough, im going ot keep all the stock parts in case I want to take it back to stock,

so if i were to upgrade the fuel system and bigger injectors I guess that would be a start right? and maybe eventually get a alky kit, but i guess we will see,

You can start by choosing injectors using an online injector calculator. Do that at the same time you choose an upgrade turbo. It makes since to go with a turbo that supports the same hp as your injectors do. Then of course a chip to match, a few people sell them on this board, like turbo tweek?

Good luck, & get a scan tool to help you stay away from knock.
