87 regal oil filter housing

I bought this regal yesterday and I'm not sure if the part on it was an aftermarket part or not.....but the previous owner hit a pot hole an a rock flew an hit the oil filter cracking both he filter an the mount

We have a parts wanted section if you need one, but the filter and housing are up in the frame fairly high so I don't know how it could've been hit. Have you drained the oil out and checked for metal in the oil?

I've been trying to upload a picture but it doesn't let me.....an that's the story I was told....the reason he sold the car is because the part is hard to find I think
