87 Skyhawk Turbo

Not a G-body, but a J-Body, but it is a 2.0L Hot Air Turbo anyone have any
info on these cars, such would would fit off of our cars and so on, like Inj.
fuel pump, etc.

Don't know how much it's gonna help. I think the layout of the site kinda sucks, but you can skim through it. Too bad you are so far away, wouldn't mind getting that hardtop from you

useta, yes, I have joined the site but not a lot of activity or info there, but at least their is a site, kinda hoping some one on here also has some info as far as compatibility of parts go.

too bad, there's a big following for those daytona turbos. I would think there's a few people out there tuining these. I think it would be fun

As far as parts compatibility, I dont think a whole lot will work between the Gbody and Jbody turbo cars. I do know that getting rid of the cat conv and then running a 2 1/8 or 2 1/4 exhaust all the way back to a decent flowing muffler, will help tremendously in the turbo lag dept. Then fabbing you a cold air intake with a nice cone filter will give nice bang for the $$ as the stock air intake on those kinda sucked. There are a few aftermarket cams for those engines too. I could be mistaken, but I believe there is an adjustable FPR that will work on those as well. A step in the right direction anyhow

I know there was a website dealing with building the Jbody cars, I'll do some digging and see if I can find it for you.

going to fab up a CAI on this unit, next will have to figure out how to install a AFPR, it is in a very ugly place, I will be looking to have it be remote mounted
and will have to fab up some lines to do so, but that will have to wait til I get the 89 sunbird conv. turbo's timing belt and water pump replaced, then go from there, the pontiac will remain basically stock while i see what the 87
skyhawk is capable of, I will also talk to Eric@ TT and see what he has to say about proms for these vehicles, thanks
