My high mileage driver runs good until it gets up to normal operating temp. Then, it starts to spit, sputter, and finally stall, and leave me stranded .
The check engine light never comes on, and the car runs perfect until this happens (with no warning). I've changed the following parts from my GN with no results:
MAF
crank sensor
coil packs
Module
One thing I haven't changed yet is the cam sensor. I recently put a new timing chain and gears in (stock replacement). I noticed that the cam sensor has some shaft wabble, but its the only one I've got. Also, the motor has a slight tick when it warms up which sounds like it could be coming from the cam sensor.
Could the cam sensor wear out that bad and cause a misfire? Also, I can't get the car to act up when its just sitting and idling.
Only when I'm driving it.
Thanks for the help in advance........ Tim
