Hot air converted to 87 ECM/MAF.

Replacing the transmission with 200-4R

Hot Air OEM transmission plug = 4 wires. (white receptacle plug)
87 set-up has 3 wires (black receptacle plug).

What are the wires for anyway and should this 87 transmission work ok in the converted hot air?

a is 12 volts,b is 3rd signal .c is fourth signal ,d is ground.3 wire 4th gear lock up four wire third and fourth geasr lock up.third is annoying if car is not heavily modified or is a city driver.

Thank you for the reply!

I am undergoing the same thing currently. Is it possible to make the 4 wire plug work with the three wire tranny? Does the ground wire have to be hooked up elsewhere to work? I assume i cant just leave it out.
Also, the wires of same color appear to go into different spots, is this normal, and can i just wire it so that a, b, c, d match up?

Ed, you can read them on the plug if you clean off the dirt, but if i remember correctly with the plug clip at the top, and looking at the plug from the back as if it was plugged in, it looks like:

A B
D C
