A distant relative of mine has one in his barn with 79k miles on it. It runs great. I think he may be selling it soon for cheap. Is it worth my time to take a look at it? I hear they are decent cars. Anyone driven one or have experience?

Theres one forsale at my school for $650\bo thats kinda beaten never knew that had a turbo stock.

i saw one in a junkyard, still had the turbo an piping....looking interesting. I think it only made like 150hp or something though.

I saw a black turbo sunbird convertible in the impound yard at the junkyard near my house. It looks to be in decent shape, other athan a big dent in the drives side fender. They would probably sell it for $800. Is it worth trying to save it from being scrapped? It probably doesnt run, but I just thought it was interesting since I had never seen one before. Its at the pick and pull in fairfield, ca if anyone is interested. I would guess it will sit there for 2 or 3 more weeks before it gets put out in the yard, so if someone asked before then they could probably buy it.

Can you say torque steer!!!
I've driven plenty of them.
But by far the best torque steer is the turbo sprint 3 cylinder

far as parts go the dash and the ECM are worth some bucks to Sy/Ty guys if they decide to part it out....

I whipped up on one of those in 1989 with my little '78 Datsun 200sx - I had been interested in getting one until I got a chance to race one. The Datsun was getting pretty tired by 1989....lots of races behind it, but it still beat it.

i used to have one i got from a police auction for $50. BARELY ran but kindof a cool car, we got it just for the motor, i wanted to put it in my 75 vega but couldn't get it to work, and found out that it would be near impossible to make the tranny work so we screaped that idea. it sat behind my barn and turned into the smashing car, taking a sledge hammer to a car is more fun than you would think, so is smashing it with a tractor. the body was shot before i got to it...

but from what i was told they ran very good for what they were. we also had the na sumbird, same year same engine, just no turbo, talk about a pooch... it ended up being donated to the high school auto class after a little at home demolition derby. man i love cheap cars.
