I just got a 91 cutlass for free and the car is in top shape, the lady that had it thought the trans. was going bad but I have found out the the rear brakes were shot and the front right brake is locking up, and the trans seems fine.
Heres the problem, I replaced everything in the rear and those are fine now. I replaced the front pads, and the rotors are in great shape. While replacing the right front I found the caliper wound not move it was froze solid, so I put on a new one.
Go to bleed the brakes haveing the wife pump them up, and when I open the bleeder on the front it squirted a few times, then all of the sudden it would just trickle out when I opened the bleeder the wife said the pedal was still going to the floor.
After I bleed the brakes I took it for a drive and the pedal was hard as a rock and was locking the left front. Then I was going to turn around and saw the right front was smoking bad, it was locked up and had been for a bit. Rotor was blue and the pads smelled bad.
Whats up, is there something in the line or is the master cylinder going bad, or do I have a line colapsing.
Any ideas on this problem
