Is it ok to run 93 octane fuel with a TT chip that's burned for 91. My car came with the 91 chip already installed but it's hard to find 91 in my area options are usually 87 89 93 and some stations even carry 94

What is the timing of your chip? It should be written on the chip itself. My chip is a 93 octane chip and it has 20/18 timing.

Will have to look when I get home but I do remember seeing it on the back next to the octane rating

You cant ever have too much octane.

Your problem is running 87 octane on a 91 octane chip.

I think most everyone will agree with me on this one........ if you have a chip burned for high octane, say 100, and run lower you can damage the engine due to knock. Conversley, if you have a chip burned for say 91,.you will not hurt the motor with ANYTHING higher. You just will not ever realize your potential of having the perfect.match of high octane AND a chip that utilize it.
