94 Z-28 Conversion to 87 Drivetrain

I just came across a great deal on a 94 Z. I'm considering gutting it and putting in a Buick drivetrain. Just want to inquire if someone has done a transplant of a 87 drivetrain into a Gen IV F-body. Seems like a cool project just looking for some input or some direction on where I can find more info on what is required for the conversion. Thanks

that would be cool, but you would have a lot faster car if you just turbo'd the lt1

Not exactly sure on how easy or cost efficent it is though.
