Okay, about a week ago my car started having problems. It has rough idle and it hesitates. The whole time driving it has almost no power. I had the car on and decided to pull the plug wires off all of them had spark except for the bottom coil. I figured okay that is simple enough.
I got a text from my wife saying the car started running fine all of a sudden. So I get back home and sure enough plenty of spark. I Dont know much about cars with modules and computers My regular car is a 1972 mote carlo.

Anyway It started happening again later that night, I cant find a shorted wire and my coil resistance is good I even swapped modules but it is always 1-4. I am pretty confused

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Move the 1-4 coil to a different position and see if the problem moves with it or stays in the 1-4 position.

I did and it still has the same problem. @1-4 location

Thanks for the reply

Module under the coils...been there done that ..150ish new, get a spare from the junkyard.

I'll give it a shot. I tried tracing wires and all that this weekend. The only test euipment I have is my Fluke DMM. I was gonna try and replace the crank module. I am just a bit lost in this one, Man I hate modules. Thank you guys

It did work I picked up the coil module yesterday and sure enough it worked Thanks again guys.
