98 chevrolet dually

Guys I have 2 98 chevrolet crew cab duallys. One of them was wrecked about a year ago and I have been rebuilding it since then. I am almost ready to take it to be inspected but one of the things I need to check is when you turn the key on the air bag light does not self check. The other truck does not do this either. The bags have not been deployed on either truck that I am aware of. Is there anyone on the list with a 98 chevy that would look when you first turn the key on does the air bag light come on for a second and then go off on your truck. Thank you Daniel Ray

I have a 98 Chevy 3/4 ton and they did not put air bags in those trucks. You either have a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. I'm betting you don't have air bags in them.

DUHHHHHHHH just talked to chevrolet dealer today and after checking a few things I do NOT have air bags in either truck lol. Well I feel like a dumb @#! oh well, one less thing for them to find wrong on the inspection hahaha. Thanks guys Daniel Ray

My 96 crew cab has a driver side air bag (not the air bag thats actually driving either ) so Id think a 98 would too .

you might want to look again lol. The center of the wheel of mine only has the bowtie on it. No air bag letters or ssr printed on it and in the fuse panel it says number 10 is air bag and it only has one connection for the fuse to hook in without the other spade in there. I thought they all had them but they do not. Daniel

Just went and checked my sent folder and that was the address I sent it back to. On the pics you sent I just hit reply to sender. Think its something going on with my email. I have had this happen a few times over the last few months people not getting one I sent out. Thanks again Daniel Ray
