9mm in .40 caliber mags

Anyone ever put 9mm in .40 cal mags? My buddy brought this to my attention after I purchased a Storm Lake conversion barrel for my Glock 23. Loaded up the mag and manually engaged the slide back and forth and I tell ya not one hick up. I know it's not live fire. But it's worth a shot. I don't believe I could damage the factory
Mags my doing this could I? I'm heaDing to the range tomm going to test it out. My buddy shoots comp and said a lot of guys do it and save money on spare mags. I'll be giving a report on the conversion barrel and the mags.

I have read that this works with the CZ 75 line.

Yeah my buddy said it worked in his M&P. wasn't sure about glocks. I will give it a shot tomm
