Hey guys and gurus, anybody know how to get my A/C to blow through my vents instead of my heater port. Occasionally it switches to the vents, but extremely seldom. I know there is a "door" that opens and closes to redirect the air, however im not sure of its location and whether it is elec. or vacuum. If one of you could steer me in the right direction, I'd most assuredly appreciate it.

I will bet its vaccum.

I was looking around at 'thinks' behind the glove box the other day and noticed a hose 'rolled' back so any air would not make to the last vent over on the PS.

The pipe runs just under the top of the dash. I think the air your talking about comes out behind the radio?

what Dan said, those flappper doors are vacuum controlled, there is a schematic on gnttype.org with color labeling and everything

I had the same problem, and What my problem was was the thin Plastic Vaccum lines that run around the Coil Pack were broken. One of the lines just broke and all I did was grab a rubber hose, and connected it together. Havent had a problem since.

vacuum definitely. If you don't find any kinkedor broken lines look at the vacuum selector switch on the back of the control panel. That switch directs vac to all the door motors and can go bad after 18 years.
