A/C Heater switch question

My A/C works fine and is very cold but when I tried to move the dial over to heat it won't go more than 1/2 way and I don't want to force it. What could be the problem? I need the heat because winter is here. Plus, I have the ar sold and I want to make sure this is fixed before the buyer picks the car up because I want the car to be as perfect as pssible for him.

Can you tell me how to fix yt? Is it an easy cheap fix that I can do or my local drive in a/c service center?

Part number is 74806 for everco and you can pick it up or at least order it and just about any parts store. It's behind the glove box and on top. You can do it yourself but getting your hand in there is kid of a b!tch.
