It will block airflow and your AC will not be as efficient. I believe there are several board members on here running high 9s and 10s with a stock location IC.

That is true - but the question is about AC performance and that leads me to believe the OP is about how well will it cool - I my experience the AC WORKS JUST AS GOOD as it did before the FMIC and the extra room under the hood is GREAT!!!! Even the most basic service like oil filter change is easier to do from the top.
My car also does not run noticeably hotter and my big mechanical Autometer gauge will show a change in temp just from 45 seconds of driving in a tree shaded section of road.
I have a stock radiator and stock fan but external oil and trans coolers - was disappointed that removing the engine and trans oil from the radiator did not make a difference in water temp - - still crosses 205 if I am in stop and go traffic for 30+ minutes with AC on and upper 90* F and humid - July/August time of year
A/c performance will suffer at idle and low speed with a a front mount in very hot weather . It all depends if you run 134a or not. This one of the reasons i do not use a front mount intercooler anymore.
I didn't notice a degredation in A/C performance when moving to a front mount.
Mine didn't work as well at idle even when the car was new. None do.
As for overall A/C performance. Works just fine as far as I'm concerned.
