Hi guys,
I'm about finished the 200r4 swap into my '66 Skylark and I have some questions about the TCC lockup wiring.
I bought a kit from Bowtie Overdrive that uses a single positive wire through the brake light switch. It goes to the 4th gear pressure switch (2 connectors), then to the lockup solenoid, which is self grounding.
Now my trans ('87 BRF) has 4 wires inside it. Red and black both go to the solenoid. Tan goes to the 4th gear press. switch. Green goes to the 3rd gear press. switch. Both 3rd and 4th gear switches only have one connector on them.
Can somebody tell me how to wire this thing? Do I even need to worry about the 3rd gear switch? I'm all ready to do the road test, but want to verify the wiring first so I don't fry the trans.
Thanks,
Brian
