The more I see these kinds of posts, the more I'm convinced we all need to put flat hoods on these cars. I had a scary moment about 3 weeks ago where a guy in a big truck quickly pulled behind me in a parking lot, blocking me in between the parking space I was in and the building in front of me. Turns out he wanted to know if my ride (the Limited) was for sale....

Lojac! It's really worth it. My 85' is an N/A title so insurance is really cheap.

yeah, he said he has low jack on his truck, and an alarm, but neither on his t I felt bad because to tell the truth, I thought he was calling me to let me know he's ready to sell the car, but it was more like, the car's gone
I dont think i'd be able to sleep for days if anything of mine was stolen. I get pissed if I leave a tool at a customers house, and they go out before I can go back to get it! but to have your baby stolen, man.... it must hurt:frown:

car was found, nothing really left of it. The owner said it was found near the 10 freeway somewhere downtown, complete loss.

Wow! They recovered the car pretty quick. I'd like to see some pics to see what they're doing to these cars when they steal them.

On my second GN and there is nothing left at all they take everything.

Only thing left is usually the Frame, Roof & Rear quarter panels nothing else.

i'll post pics when I get some. The car was stripped of pretty much all the good stuff. rear end, engine and trans, front clip, rear lights and fillers. and all the interrior except the dash, interrior wiring, and digital cluster, oh and the gas tank and internals are still there along with the new exhaust. the body & doors are still near mint condition, along with the rag top. sad sight, but its rebuildable.

That really sucks...I hate people who lie, cheat and steal just cause they cant/wont work for something.

well, unfortunately it happens all the time. I work hard for what I own, and after its all said and done cant afford much more than my mortgage, a few hundred to nissan, the lights on and food. If somebody stole my stuff, i'd be on a mission for REAL! but you have to realize, these guys steeling cars are on another level than us. They CANT afford this type of stuff, maybe some steal things to sell to keep THEIR lights on etc. but it takes will to get a job and be ligit, it takes time to make money legally, some cant take the straight route, so there will always be these cases. just protect your own, and make sure your not a victim...

Cant expect much else from people raised on welfare by parent(s) without ambition.
As long as the govt keeps coddeling them they will never change.
When you work for something its means a lot more to you than when the govt provides for you.
20 years ago you could leave your truck unlocked at a construction site and not worry about pilfering. Not any more. Set something down and turn your back and its gone.
Oh yea, and its not their fault. Its someone elses fault, parents, teachers, society in general.
