It's impossible right? On the side of the ECM it says 86 lesabre and some numbers I believe. Not sure what numbers as it's not infront of me at the moment

totally possible
86 FWD centurys and lesabres and other 86 makes (olds cutlass ceira)with the buick 3.8L fuel injected came with the same 1227148 ecm as the 86-87 turbo buick , t prom chip isnt the same calibration and the the little chip (calpak) is different but it really only used for default incase of a calprom error , if you arent on stock injectors the stock calpak wouldnt be correct anyway

Ok Thanx guys. Lots of good info there c so as long as it says GM #1227148 on it then it works. I mean obv it works Bc the car runs fine. That's interesting that all then cars use same ECM withxjust a different chip

86 ecm

You know I've thought of turning my 86 LeSabre GN into a turbo car but always assumed that the ECM would be the biggest challenge???? So if they share the same ECM what's to stop me from converting it into a front wheel drive turbo car? I think I could make this work.
