Hey all, I have a newb question here. I just got a 3 pod gauge pillar in the mail today I bought from a fellow board member. After I got the original pillar out, I wasn't able to quite fit the new pod in...The screw holes wouldn't line up, and it wouldn't fit flush on the pillar itself. It was getting pretty frustrating, so I decided to step back and see if anyone here had some tips/tricks for this install. I was just trying to do a dry run and check the fitment before I put gauges in it. Do any of you have any good pictures of how your pod fits?

Thanks, Kelly

When I put my 3 gauge pillar pod in I left the stock pillar cover behind it to give a clean look. There was a gape if it wasn't like that. It also helped line up the holes. You might have to move it a little to get the screws to go in right. Hope this helps

It does, thanks. Was the gap on the outside (facing window)? that's where mine is. Also, there is a plastic trim piece in between the dash and door towards the bottom that i can't figure out how it fits with the new pod.

The pod should slide behind it like the factory one. And yes the gap was on the door side where you could see it.

Okay. That's what I was afraid of. I might have to trim the pod, it really doesn't want to fit

The triple pillar pods from Gaugepods .com can't use the same screw holes because the holes are in a different place.

I purchased two 3 gauge pillar pods from a vendor here and they both fit like dog crap. I think it is just the nature of beast. No one has taken the time out to produce a good mold for this gauge setup.

I was afraid of that...Do you have any pictures you could post?

I can take some later tonight. I have to reinstall it 1st. I have it hanging....just replaced a gauge. I will post some pics later tonight when I get home

Great, thanks!

I haven't forgot about you. I went outside to remount my pillar mount, but I need to hold off because I need to check for leaks on the back of the gauges and I don't want to install it and have to uninstall (there's a good bit of wiring and hoses behind it and it is a PITA to install.) I have been chasing some problems and making upgrades, and I haven't been able to start the car to check for those leaks. I will have it back together by Saturday. So I can upload some pics showing the fitment by then. I may have some old pics showing pillar Installed, but they don't show the gaps when the door is open.

Awesome! One of my friends with a GN said he used double sided tape to attach it over the original A pillar

I had to trim the lower part to clear the door when it is closed also. Just FYI

I got lucky. Bpught a used dpuble one and fit right into factory holes. Downside is yousee wire come out bottom. Was going to take facy one off or buy another make a small hole and route the wires that way..
