I would like to give Lou Turbolou | Lou Czarnota | Buick Grand National | Buick GNX | Buick T-Type | Turbo Buick a special thanks for helping me out on a basket case of a car that I threw in the towel on.

This car is a friend of a friend type deal and I got the car in pieces from the owner because he had the car at some shop in the LA area that did the motor originally and it lasted a few hundred miles. This shop gave him everything back in the trunk, back seat, front seats and roof, with a lot of things missing and a lot of things that did not go with a Buick. So all I had to do is build the guy a motor and do the install so he could have it as a driver again. I had problem after problem with the car itself with electrical problems and so on. I could not find this last problem to where it was giving me a false Cam Censer Failure code. So after changing everything and double checking everything, the car kept getting worst and worst, so I threw in the towel on this piece **** hoping it would catch on fire or get stolen.

So I took it over to Lou's shop and he went over things I never even thought to look at again, all I could say is that he pays close attention to details and found a few problems.

Anyways, I think I drove Lou in to some heavy drinking and I owe him a kidney or something now.

Thanks again Lou ;)

Robert

P.S.
We never really met before and we just knew of each other and I would like to say that he is one cool guy  I was advised not to piss him off thou, so I have not seen the grumpy side.

Nothings wrong with getting Lou's "goat"',
you just don't want to get caught molesting his favorite female sheep.

Lou gets another lamb......

Thanks Robert, You happen to catch me in a good mood & the right time. I have always heard about how you help others & maybe it was your turn to need a hand. You have a good selection of used parts & we need you to stick around & keep the supply going. I trust I can count on you when I need a favor. Lou

Well,
What did the problem end up being?

Bad MAF, 02 sensor, fouled plugs, bad ign module. vacuum leak at hose, took 6 hrs. of diagnosis to find all the problems. Valve covers were removed , cam timing verified, cam lift checked, leak down test, etc.
