The compressor I was looking at this compressor:

It looks like it has a 3/4" pipe thread in the side of the tank. It seems like it would be a good idea to run 3/4" pipe from the tank to the filter/regulator then have a quick connect on the out side of the regulator (running pipe for other areas of are not important right now.
It seems like most of the filter/regulators have small in and out connections. Also many of the units say lubricators. I am assuming that they do not need to be used as a lubricator - do not want oil in the lines - dry air seems to be important, I can add oil directly to the tools that need oil before using those tools.
So what's the deal with the parts after the tank?
