While agast with the pics of what happened in the prison in Irag. What do people think WAR is about?.
Please and thank you?.

Sorry folks, war is about killing. It's not pleasant, and it's not fun. It's not about warm fuzzies, and being politically correct.

While the News Media, and more and more DC, likes to ignore the reality of it, it's realy brings out the worst in people. Think about it, we're asking normal folks to go risk their lives, kill other folks, and watch some of their friends DIE. Why does the cruelty of what's going on exscape so many people?.

If we're going to go to war, then S---'s gonna happen. In a civilian court in say NYC, the guards, would get a hand slap becuase of the duress they were under, yet, somehow now there's all sorts of chest pounding about how cruel WE are. Sorry folks, talk to some POWs and get a gripe on what happened in WWII, Korea, and Nam to our guys. If in doubt about apeasing the enemy read about France and Germany. You have to have the total and complete desire to win, at ANY cost to win a war. making a game out of it, just gets people killed for nothing. Look at the Wall in DC, for the list of 50,000 guys that gave their lives for a political game. And now while our body count is lower, we're doing the same thing all over again.

Am I saying I endorse what they did?, Heck no, but you have to understand before passing to much judgement on them, what was going on around them. Alot of the folks in Iraq, are reservists that thought they would only be going to go to war in the event of a real emergency. And they're being asked to be cops, in an area where, their buddies are getting killed. Ask the typical American how many friends they buried in a life time, and then ask some of the troops how many firends they seen die. I'll give ya a clue, watching a mine go off, and seeing some friends turn into a red mist, is not something you want to see, and it does scare one's thought patterns.

DC ought to be flat ashamed of themselves for what they're doing. Ask them about why they cancelled the hazard duty pay for the folks over there?. WTF, is going thur their minds?. If we can't afford to pay the troops to live in Hell, then we shouldn't be over there. Not to mention the VA cuts for the guys that have spent their time in Hell.

Busch, as well as those following his lead ought to be ashamed of their selves. What we started out to do that was a noble cause has turned into a deadly circus. It's just stupid that so many Americans think that foreigners think like us. From WWII Germany, to Korean era China, to Nam, and now in Iraq, we just never really figure things out ahead of time. Not to mention that you can't rescue people that don't want to be. Have you ever tried to get an Alky to stop drinking, or a cigarette smoker to quit just on saying stop doing it "now"?. Nope ain't gonna happen, and you not going to get a nation to take up arms against their neighbors over night. Liberty is something fought for, and until the people of Iraq fully and completely want to make the sacrifices for a democracy, there will be hell to pay over there. Having the locals hide the bad guys within their community, makes it just a blood fest.

Sorry if this seems as a rant, but I get tired of the military getting slammed for the Screw-Ups in Washington. Not to mention the righteousness of the News Media, and their agenda, and slanting the reporting of the "news".

I agree 100%.These people do not realize that those soldiers have no place to go and blow off steam after their shift ends. They have no entertainment to relax their mind for even just a few hours.Unfortunately they came up with their own at the expense of the prisoners dignity.BUT,I'll tell you what....what those prisoners went through is a far sight better than what they would have done to one of ours! Much better to be made fun of than burnt and mutilated and hung from a bridge......and those were CIVILIANS they did that to.What did we do? we gave them time,we asked them to turn in their arms. What we should have done is just flatten that place. The pantywaists in DC need to stop *****footing around and get some a** kicking done in short order. We can do it,but we're too busy being nice old America.BS!KILL THEM ALL...LET GOD SORT EM OUT!

Who really cares if some screwed up broad from WV and her wifebeating headcase boyfriend, that just knocked her up, are having weird S&M sex with Iraqi prisoners? They would do the same to us. Why do we have do be on our "best behaviour"? This is war isn't it? I say rape, pillage, murder and blow up all the churches where these creeps are hiding. Let's show them we are more barbaric than they are. This is the only way we will win. They are not scared of an army that is more worried about following the so called "rules of war" than it is in levelling a city full of thugs and terrorists. Let's stop being "nice guys" and get the job done already. Jezzuus.

If this wasn't an election year the demos and media would not of given it a second thought.

HOW

you know, I don't think that this is really going all that bad, if you think about it, how many soldiers have been killed in this war? 700? The gulf war we lost about 100 people, that war lasted about what? 30 days? this war has been going on longer then a year.. not meaning to sound cold but, as for the way a war is going, its not that bad. I think the media is just really playing it up, since as said above, it is an election year.

When you have such a low kill count, each kill is just more personal. Not to be rude either, but when there is a high death rate, like in WW2... it's not put on the news, " 3 died in car bomb "... like the current situation..
