I was talking about Eric's bracket removal fix in the pictures, that's a straight brass fitting into the right angled stock 1/8" NPT fitting. 
Yeah I brazed up a funky 5/16" to 5/16" fitting on one old cheap aftermarket radiator I bought in the early 90's, wasn't easy to make.
It worked until that broke and I went back to good old used stockers.
