AC / Heat delete folks....question

When you removed you heater lines did you just run a shorty by-pass hose or block the manifold & water pump??? I have a shorty hose now but was considering blocking off to free up some clutter & knuckle space.

Just plug the port in the intake and install a rubber cap on the timing cover behind the water pump.

Yes, you can get rid of the coolant pipes/tubes and free up space.
