I am thinking about buying an Accel Gen VI DFI from a friend of mine. My question is, my car has a 3" MAF, translator, and an extender chip. Now I know with the Accel I wont have the chip in it, but will I be able to run the translator and MAF. I know the trans alters some # or something, will this cause a problem if I run the Accel? TIA

Most speed density systems like the DFI do not use a mass air.
That is one advantage of going to the system.

Depends on point of view.
In order to process MAP signals to remove the clutter from them, the require alot of filtering, so the MAF is actually faster responding.

MAF, aka something in the way of your airflow...

Only if you do things oem style.
Go to blow thru, with a screenless, vaneless MAF and there is no restriction.
