Accel Sequential DFI used with distributor??? Need to convert back to stock type!

Ok, I purchased an Accel DFI Generation 6 Sequential unit used on a Buick Grand National that was converted to a "pro-billet" distributor. He said he had the DFI converted to work with the stock crank trigger and this distributor. He says I may have to have it modified to work with my original stock distributorless ignition. Will I have to send it to ACCEL to be modified??? Does anyone know about this??? Thanks
