I dug out my old lever action Marlin .444 to pop some rounds offf while im out of town. Was digging through my ammo and noticed I have 240 grain and 265 grain bullet. They are like throwing sewer caps I know, but was wondering if any body made or heard of a acclerator type round for the .444 to get a bullet of smaller grain out for better trajectory and widen the spectrum of use.
Im not a gun pro just some bench talk.

You can get the sabot for .30 and .50 rounds but not for any others that I know of. Dont try the black powder ones either. The sabot is soft so it blows through and you loose any control of the round. Tried it on my 45/70.

Try Hornady LeverRevolution ammo , 265gr flex tip , 2335 fps , +3" @ 100yds = -1.4" @ 200yds. This was their answer to the short range ballistics of the standard flat point pistol type bullets without the worry of pointed bullets firing in tubular magazines during recoil. My dad uses them in his .444 marlin deer rifle.
