ADC Racing Egines in Colorado??????

Has anyone ever heard of ADC Racing engines in Colorado? Im thinking about having a motor built there.

I had a SBC built at a place in Golden CO about 7-9 years ago by the name of DC Racing Engines. It might be the same place. DC was the owners initials - Dave Capriati or something like that. It was a good place and nice/ helpfull people.

Never dealt with them on Turbo Buick stuff though.

The only people in the Denver area that I know of that have experience in building Buick turbo motors are Engines To Go and Strube Performance. I'm not saying that ADC doesn't know about them, but I do not know of any club members running a motor from them. I would ask them directly who they have built motors for in the Denver area.

ADC is where Ken Mosher's motor was just dynoed..I am guessing Chris knows this already. Reading posts on here by Charlie Sikes, who I assume is the owner, he sounds knowledgeable. Ken's motor just made nearly 700 HP with iron heads and a TA-61/stretch combo on the dyno so he must screw 'em together pretty well also.

I am going to be in Colorado Springs tomorrow for about a week; I'm going to see if I can stop by their shop.

Yes, I am aware that they build Kens motor. Charlie told me about it. Charlie sounds like he knows what he is talking about.

If you could stop by there and see there shop and operation that would be great. I just hate to send my motor out of state when i've never even meet the guy before.

I visited ADC in Fort Collins yesterday afternoon with Ken. Charlie was nice enough to take considerable time out of his afternoon and talk about Buicks, machining, and just generally BS.

He's got a wide range of equipment, from a 3 axis CNC mill, to a dyno capable of running 2000+ HP motors, to a flow bench, a crank balancer, etc. The place looks like a working shop; not immaculate but clean with a wide range of motors in progress.

They're doing some neat stuff; a Buick headed SBC with a centrifugal blower running alcohol was on the dyno when I got there, and they had some other interesting stuff around including some trick circle track motors.

I can only think of one or two shops that are set up to be able to dyno the Buick motor, and now that Charlie's done Ken's engine, more should follow.

Charlie gave me some ideas and I wish I lived closer; I'd have my motor over there and we'd be feeding it methanol.

you should also look up LOU in lake forest, this guys knows how to build good engines and he's been doing it for a long time and his stuff is done right...
