sent alot of money to charlie sikes of adc racing in wyoming, formerly of fort collins colorado, and have been waiting for almost 5 months now.


i think i have heard every excuse there is.

either i get my money back or i am forced to go to court.
already called the attorney general about this.

i won't wait anymore or hear anymore excuses.

chrlie please send me my money back.

i am giving him FEW MORE DAYS TO CALL.
A FEW PEOPLE WHO DEAL WITH HIM ARE CHECKING FOR ME ALSO.

if not i have the paper work from the attorney general to see what legal course to take, they have helped me get things done before with business related matters.

i will keep everyone posted.
if the engine shows or otherwise.

update

after countless phone calls and messages left for charlie sikes at ADC RACING ENGINE IN CHEYENNE, WYOMING, i am forced to turn in the paperwork to the attorney general to get my money and parts back.

i have been waiting going on 6 months and after ALOT OF EXCUSES i have no other choice. i do not have my motor or my money and parts i sent.

i want a refund for what i sent as well as the parts i sent.

i will update this thread as it unfolds.

I Have Filed The Paperwork With The Attorney General To See If They Can Help.
Otherwise I Will Take Them To Court On My Own.
I Have All The Paperwork And Canceled Checks And Certified Reciepts From The Post Office With Signitures.

update

well i did a little more checking and came up with the following:

i went to the bbb and read what was listed under adc racing. the owners name- jerry sikes(charlies brother? dad?).
i went to dex online and got his home phone number.
i called this morning to see if he is affiliated with adc racing. he says yes after his (wife?) gave me his number at the shop in fort collins, co.
apparently he has a shop in fort collins and in cheyenne.
i tell jerry what is going on and he says he will call charlie and see what the status is on the engine.
i call jerry back a few hours later and he says charlie said my engine is almost done(heard that before) and i ask him why charlie told me so many lies and that the engine has been shipped already. he says that he is not answering any phone calls so he can get the projects done that he has.
i tell him i want my money and my parts back and i told him to have charlie call me either way.
still no phone call (like usual).

what a bunch of b.s. he knows what he is doing and he is trying to screw me out of my money and parts.
i don't think so.

if you own a business and people are buying things you don't not call them back and you most certainly DO NOT LIE TO THEM.

if i have to make i trip out to his shop i will with a few other people. i will get my money and parts i sent or some collateral until i am refunded my money and parts.


what a shiity business practice this guy has. a least call back and don't lie about things.

I guess it is my time to post.

I have sat on the side thinking this is an isolated situation that I managed to avoid. I too have my motor at ADC and have not received a call back in a while. I paid $$ up front to cover new parts. I have been promised that it would ship several weeks ago and nothing has shown up and no return calls. Very discouraging.....

To Charlie's credit I did receive a shortblock in early July after entering into an agreement in early January Everything was great until I found something wrong which rendered the block useless. Spoke to Charlie and he was apologetic and agreed that he would machine a new block, reassemble and send back. So I sent all the parts back, on my dime, and here I sit wondering if I did not stick it to myself.

Until now I have been EXTREMELY relaxed, patient, non-threatening and not lost my cool over the amount of time it has taken and several empty promises. I am ready to move on and would like my motor please.

If this situation turns positive, I will surely reply and give Charlie the credit he deserves. Until then, it appears I might be another casualty.

i it comes down to it i will go to his door and either i will get my parts promised that i paid for or i will get some collateral.

i have assembled another engine so at least i can finally drive the car.
i have bought some parts here on this board and the people have been up front and sent the stuff i paid for.

i spent a fair amount with frank g and recieved all my stuff and will definately do business with him again.
very nice ported heads that work great as well as the cam and lifters i bought.

hope we both get this resolved very soon and we can move on.

stuff like this really leaves a bad taste in peoples mouths and scares them from buying things from honest people and vendors.

not going to be too pretty either was a bitch last time i went to get the car.

i hope anyone that ever reads this will not do business with them for anything.

i will be getting in touch with a lawyer to proceed with the lawsuit.

It appears Charlie has fulfilled his promise and sent my shortblock back. He called today and supplied a tracking number. The number is valid and is on it's way to me.
