I cannot seem to do any better than .47 to 4.39 volts. Do I need to get a higher voltage at WOT? I already broke the tang off the sensor while trying to bend it slightly (not a good idea) although it still catches on the end.
There is no way to move it to get any better on the span? Would a different sensor give me a wider span? Is this all I need or does it have to be at least 4.8v at WOT?

Paul

With both bolts loosened you can pull the sensor forward and push it backwards. Not just up and down.

At 3.75 the computer is reading WOT. Your base shoud be closer to 42-44

I was curious because I read on the GNTtype forum to make sure the voltage is above 4.6v so the computer recognizes its at WOT. 3.75 seems awful low to me.
I know that the sensor can go back/forth up/down but it still does not help get the full reading. Thanks

I've drilled out the TPS sensor plastic some to get it to move farther forward toward the radiator in order to increase the voltage range to get .44 - 4.40

One more time....you don't need 4.6-4.8 volts. If your at 4.00 volts or better your ok. :)

I always thought WOT should be > 4.00. I cannot get 4 volts with mine either, more like 3.85 with a 0.44 base. So you're saying I should be fine?

You have to loosen the bolts on the TPS. Yank it forward torwards the radiator.. and while applying tension to it forward.. set your .38-.46 initial setting. I usually set it to .42-.44.. and tighten it down.

Open the blade.. you'll be way over 4 volts.

If you set the TPS back torwards the firewall.. you'll be posting and I cant my TPS volts up.

Amen Razor, I'm all set. BTW, what does a new AC TPS cost cause I broke mine. Wouldn't ya know it.

Havent bought one in a while. Last time a few years ago it was like 30.00 for an AC Delco piece.
