Tried to install an update, and got repeated 1501 error..
Uninstalled 9.3/reinstalled. Got the end of the install and got another error1601,..hit retry.. went thru.
Then the update appeared again.
Tried to install. same 1501 code.
Says: \software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\optionalcomponents\MAPI
Is this due to some setting, as it refers me to the "administrator"???
Never had problems w/updates until this 1....
NE ideas as to how to correct this??

Did you reboot after the uninstall and delete the install program files\adobe directory after removal but before rebooting? Adobe can be a pain and is considered more vulnerable/exploitable than microsoft office products. Running 9.3 or greater is a must on any platform. OS doesn't matter as much here, it's a common medium that can be a gateway to any mainstream os version.

I have an autoinstalling package I deploy to my network users that need adobe support. At first they b!tched because feature blah wasn't working like it did in their 7.x release. I gave them the option to run the newest or I would block them from the internet where the exploits are. Funny... they drop the subject then.

I can upload the package to one of my servers if you want to try that.

Thanks for the help!
Nope, no reboot. I'll try again to uninstall, and follow your suggestions. I'll post back when done.
