The "55" is the factory test pressure rating for these Siemens (Take a look at the my post)

My curiosity is about the effect of running them at a FP other than the factory rating. Just trying to figure out if it makes any real difference.

I was referring to the reaction time of the peak and hold drivers in conjunction with the low imp injectors. Typically I thought it was around 1.5ms. My concern was possibly going below that.

I wouldn't even try running at 55 PSI, because of the fuel pump.

Do you mean min. pulse width?. I've run some P+Hs down to under .8 while messin around. I've also bench run some 60PPH injectors down to under 1 msec PWs.

Shouldn't the pump be able to keep up with the volume demand, if the DC is lowered (all things being equal... A/F ratio wise)

Yes, PW's. Thanks for sharing that info, I didn't know that they could go that low.
